Lawn Fawn's How you Bean shaker card

Bean meaning to say . . . Happy Birthday card

This weeks task was to make my sister in laws birthday card. I hunted through my stamp sets and stumbled across Lawn Fawn's 'How you Bean?' stamp and die sets which I haven't used yet. My sister in law likes jelly beans so this was a perfect find.

So here is this weeks card. It didn't take too long to make, although it looks a little complicated.

Reveal wheel birthday card

How to use Lawn Fawn's 'keep on swimming' to make a cute birthday card

I needed to make a birthday card for my friend who is really into cats and knitting. I've always wanted to try a reveal wheel card, so combined that with the 'meow you doin'?' and 'keep on swimming' Lawn fawn stamp and die sets.

It's a little bit fiddly this card but I hope you agree the end card is worth it.

Advent Calendar - easy to make and personalise

Easy Personalised Envelope Advent Calendar

I thought I'd share this advent calendar with you this week.  I've been making them for my sons for the last 4 or 5 years and even made one for hubby last year.

Because you've made it yourself, it can take as much or as little time to put together as you like.  You can tailor it towards your recipients likes, for example you could put in miniature drink bottles, stationery items, jewellery, candles, sweets, biscuits, toys or collectables.  As long as it's not too big anything goes!

My children are into Lego, so I buy a small Lego set and split the pieces between the 24 days and they make the item as they go and have a completed set by Christmas. I also put in a small chocolate and a fun task to do for the day.

Gift bag made from 12 x 12 scrapbooking card

Gift bag - instructions to make your own

Hello again :)  Hope you've all had a good week.  I had a massive panic this week when I had to wrap some gifts but hadn't got a gift bag and I really wanted my friend to feel special on her special day.

So I got my 12 x 12 scrapbooking card out and worked out how to make one!  What do you think?  I was rather pleased with it and so was my friend (and her kitten - who decided to play in it! - there's some cute photo's at the end of this make).

The finished size of gift bag is quite generous at 19.5cm wide by 10cm deep and 23cm high (not including the handles).  Because you've made it yourself, you can make it in whatever colour or pattern paper you have - Christmas, Birthday, Easter or even Wedding.
