Tic Tac Holder

Make tic tacs into a really cute small gift

I made these tic tac holders a couple of years back and gave them away as Christmas gifts. However I don't think they have to be just Christmas gifts so I am writing some instructions so you can make them too. You can buy packs of 4 tic tacs quite cheaply and you only need small amounts of card - they would make lovely January gifts to cheer up friends.

I used a Stampin Up stamp set of a snowman to make the picture on the front but you can use any snowman stamp you have.

Christmas Pudding Gift Box

Cute Christmas pudding gift box - or maybe even a reindeer!

I really like making and giving little boxes. The die I used to make this little gift box is from Stampin' up! - 'Mini Curvy keepsake box'. You can cut it from a single sheet of 6"x6" paper and it doesn't need any gluing to put it together. It looks really cute from any Christmas paper but I wanted to make something a little more from it.

And hence my Christmas pudding (read to the bottom of the instructions to find a reindeer as well :) - my youngest son wanted a reindeer, so you can thank him for the extra box )

This isn't too difficult to put together and you should be able to make quite a few in an evening. I will probably make a few of these and fill with chocolate for my work colleagues to help them get through to the Christmas holidays. I've also thought they might make good table name places for the Christmas table - a little chocolate inside and my guests name on a card slotted in between the handles on the top of the box.

The finished box, excluding the handles is about 5cm wide by 5cm depth and about 4cm high.

Christmas tags - homemade

Make your gifts extra special by creating your own handmade tags

This is an extra midweek post - Christmas is nearly here and I'm getting very excited. I don't know about you guys, but I am always left with rolls of wrapping paper but no matching tags. Rather than hunt the shops for matching tags or 'some that will do', why not make your own. Make your gifts look fabulous and make the recipient feel extra special.

This is a super quick project and can use up those smaller bits of card and images that you collect.

I found some reindeer wrap with no matching tags so used some kraft card (that I've had for ages!) and Stampin' Up's Dashing Deer stamp set to make some tags.

Snow globe shaker card

How to make two versions of this card - one with Stampin' Up! 'Snow globe scenes dies' and the other made from scratch using nesting dies

handmade snow globe cards

This week I got out the 'snow globe scenes dies' by Stampin' Up! to make a selection of Christmas cards. Whilst I was making them, I realised that at some point I will run out of the 'snow globe shaker domes' so also attempted a snow globe card just using layering dies and acetate.

I think both ways work.

So I'm going to show you how to make both of them.

Candle tree decoration

Candle tree decoration made from folded card

This is such a cute tree decoration that can be made quite quickly. I saw a photo in Pinterest which I fell in love with but then couldn't find the instructions to make them. I studied the picture and decided to have a go making them myself. They are quite easy and I'm really pleased with the finished result so decided to post the instructions for you guys to make.

Cracker gift boxes - really easy to make

Simple to make cracker gift boxes

My thoughts have turned to Christmas again so this week I'll show you how to make these cool but really simple to make cracker gift boxes. You only need a few tools to make these and once you've got the hang of them, you could make them for all your guests for Christmas dinner. You could use them to wrap a hard to wrap gift or add a snap, hat and joke to them to turn them into actual crackers. They don't have to be just for Christmas either - make them in a different colour and pattern of paper, they could be made for birthday's, Easter or wedding favours.

A mini cracker will measure 12cm in length by 3.5cm wide. The body of the box to hold the gift is about 4.5cm by 3.5cm.

A longer cracker will measure about 28cm in length by 3.5cm wide. The body of the box to hold the gift is about 14cm by 3.5cm.
