Use a really cute cactus stamp by Lawn Fawn and patterned paper from your stock to make this fab birthday card
I often struggle to make cards as the background always look a little bare. This card is created using smallish bits of patterned and plain card to create the background - use up scraps you have and also display the patterns you love - this is win win !
Lawn Fawn make such cute stamps and this cactus is no exception. With just one small stamp, I've made 3 different looking cacti. I'm sure you could make more with different colours and positions of eyes and flowers :)

How cute is that card? I think it could be for anyone and the greeting could be changed to other occasions. It's a great way to use up some of your scraps of patterned paper. I bet it would look really sweet if you had just one cactus and smaller bits of patterned paper behind to make a small square card.
Anyway - have fun crafting. X

You will need
- A4 white card
- Dark green card
- Two complimentary but different patterned paper or card (I used card from a scrapbooking pad called Unique Stories by Craft Sensations that I purchased from The Range)
- Year ten stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn
- Black ink pad
- Colouring medium of your choice. (I used promarkers - dusky rose, pale pink, forest green, pear green, lime green and oatmeal)
- Greeting stamp (I used a circular stamp that I had in my stash but you can use any)
- Punch or die to cut out your greeting (I used Stampin Ups 1 1/8 inch scallop circle punch)
- Foam pads and glue or double sided tape
- Fold a piece of A4 white card in half to form your base card
- From the dark green card, cut out two rectangles 13 cm by 7 cm
- Cut out two more rectangles 13 cm by 7cm from your patterned paper
- Cut a rectangle from white card measuring 12 cm by 6 cm
- Using black ink, stamp 3 cacti and 7 flowers onto a piece of white card. Also stamp your greeting.
- Colour in the cacti and flowers
- Using black ink, Stamp happy faces onto your cacti. I stamped one with a wink, one with a normal smiley face and the last one with a smiley face slightly on the wonk
- Die cut out the cacti, flowers and your greeting
- Using glue or double sided tape stick the patterned papers and one of the dark green rectangles to the front of your card as per the below photo.
- Glue the white card rectangle cut out in step 4 to the remaining dark green rectangle.
- Using double sided foam pads stick your cacti to onto the white rectangle so they line up. Stick the flowers on as per the below photo - I used double sided foam pads again
- Using double sided foam pads stick the cacti panel to the front of your card towards the bottom left of the card
- Using double sided foam pads stick your greeting to the top right of your card. As my greeting is circular, I stuck one of the flowers into the centre of the greeting
- Stick the remaining 3 flowers the the bottom right of the card with foam pads
