Cute little Easter box full of chocs!

Using Lawn Fawn's Eggstra Special Easter stamp and dies to make a bakers box to hold your Easter gift

I found some really cute chocolates wrapped as carrots and they were perfect for my gift to my colleagues for Easter. I used Versamark ink pad to stamp onto a plain green card and then used Stampin Up's Bakers Box Thinlits die to cut the gift box.

My favourite bit is the chocolate looking Easter bunnies on the front - especially as one of the ears has been nibbled!

Follow the below link to find out how the gift box was made

You will need
  • White card
  • A4 Green card
  • Black ink pad
  • Versamark ink pad
  • Lawn Fawn Eggstra Special Easter stamp and die sets by Lawn Fawn
  • Bakers Box Thinlits die by Stampin Up
  • Colouring medium of your choice (I used Promarkers - cinnamon, rose pink, ivory, sky blue and pale pink)
  • Acetate
  • Piece of thin coloured ribbon about 25 to 30 cm in length
  • Double sided foam pads, glue and double sided tape

  1. Stamp the two rabbits from the lawn fawn stamp set onto white card using the black ink pad

  2. Colour in the rabbits and use the matching dies to cut them out

  3. Use the Bakers box die to cut out two pieces from the green card - one with a circle aperture and one without. Ensure you have the two holes die piece added centrally in the top section as this will be used to thread ribbon through later to close your box.

  4. Using the versamark ink pad and the single plain egg from the Eggstra Special Easter stamp set, stamp them all over the two box parts. Then use the little smiley face from the stamp set and stamp it into some of the eggs just stamped.

  5. Fold the box along the crease lines, then put double sided tape onto the tabs at the side of the box parts.

  6. Cut a piece of acetate 5 . 5 cm by 5 cm. Put a thin line of glue around the circular aperture on the inside of the box part and stick the acetate ontop
glue a piece of acetate behind the aperture

  7. Remove the liner of the double sided tape on one of the box parts and line up the second box part so it covers the tabs.
Start sticking the two box parts together at one edge

  8. You need to remove the double sided tape liners on the second box part and form the box shape. I do this by turning the box over (so the inside is facing up), then fold the left side over. remove tape liners, then fold the right side over. They should line up perfectly and form your box.
Fold the box in half and stick the other end together

stick the other end of the box together to form a cube

  9. Fold in the bottom and glue in place

  10. Using foam pads attach the rabbits to the front of the box.

  11. Fill your box with chocs and then thread and tie the ribbon through the top

I've made mine for colleagues at work - you can easily make a batch of these in an evening. I wonder if anyone will realise one of the rabbits have had their ear nibbled?
