Masculine birthday card made using Beauty of Friendship stamp set by Stampin Up
I haven't done some stamping for a while, so todays card uses Beauty of Friendship stamp set by Stampin Up. I also use the matching Designer Series Paper pack and die set to complete the card.
You could amend this card for the different seasons, just by changing the colour ink pads - for example using orange and reds for a more autumnal card
Follow the below link to find out how the card was made
You will need
- A4 white card
- Beauty of the Earth designer series paper by Stampin Up
- Beauty of Friendship stamp set by Stampin Up
- Beautiful Tress Dies set by Stampin Up
- Happy Birthday greeting stamp (I used one from 'Piece of Cake' stamp set by Stampin Up)
- Brown, green and yellow ink pads (I used ink pads from Stampin Up - chocolate chip, mossy meadow and delightful dijon)
- 2 scalloped oval dies - larger one measuring about 10 cm by 7 cm and the smaller one measuring about 5 cm by 3 cm (You may need to adjust the smaller one depending on the size of your greeting stamp)
- Scalloped edge die (mine was made by Lawn Fawn)
- Brown string
- Stamping aid - optional but helps with lining up your stamps (I use Stamparatus by Stampin Up)
- Guillotine with cutting and scoring blades
- Die cutting machine
- Glue and double sided foam pads
- Cut a piece of white A4 card down to 25 cm by 17 . 5 cm and score at 12 . 5 cm along the 25 cm length edge. Fold along the score line to create your base card.
- Cut a piece of wood grain patterned paper from the paper pack to 16 . 5 cm high by 11 . 5 cm wide. Use the scalloped edge border die to cut a scalloped bottom to this wood paper about 2 cm up from the bottom. Glue this to the base card so it's 0 . 5 cm from the top and side edges.
- Cut a 3 cm strip from the small trees paper from the paper pack. Cut this strip to 11 . 5 cm wide and glue towards the bottom of the wood grain patterned paper on the base card
- On a piece of white card, using the brown ink pad, stamp the bare tree
- Line up the foliage stamp ontop of your tree trunk image (this is where the stamping aid really helps) and stamp it using the green ink pad
- Stamp the other foliage stamp ontop of your previous stamp but using the yellow ink pad this time. Use the largest scalloped oval die to cut this tree out
- Glue the oval tree image to the base card so it is above the tree strip and towards the left hand edge of the card
- Tie a piece of brown string to form a bow and glue this to the tree trunk
- Stamp Happy Birthday to a piece of white card using the green ink pad. Cut it out with the smaller oval scalloped edge die
- Stick the greeting oval to the base card, just above the tree strip towards the right hand edge, using double sided foam pads
- Die cut two bird shapes using the die set out of green paper from the paper pack
- Stick the birds to the base card using double sided foam pads, one on the tree and one on the greeting oval
