Make this cheery card with cute smiley flowers
Spring is on it's way and this really cheery card could be used for a birthday, Easter or just to say Hi!
My flowers have white petals and yellow centres but you can make them any colour that your recipient will love. I've also used a 'Hello Spring' greeting but you can use whatever greeting that's applicable for the occasion.
Follow the below link to find out how the card was made
You will need
- Yellow, white, light green and dark green card
- Blue sky patterned card (Just use blue card if you don't have any of this)
- Hello Spring greeting came from 'Circle of Spring' stamp set by Stampin Up
- Smiley face stamps (I used ones from 'Thanks a Latte' stamp set by Lawn Fawn. You can always draw faces if you don't have these stamps)
- Black ink pad
- Reveal Wheel Circle Add on Flower and Sun die set by Lawn Fawn
- Reveal Wheel Tulip Add-on die set by Lawn Fawn
- Grassy Hillside Border dies by Lawn Fawn
- Glue, double sided tape and double sided foam pads
- Die cutting machine
- Make a base card from white card by cutting a rectangle 21 cm by 15 cm and fold it in half so the base card measures 15cm by 10 . 5 cm (It will be a tent fold card)
- Cover the front of the base card with yellow card
- Cut a rectangle from blue sky patterned paper measuring 14 cm by 9 . 5 cm
- Cut a rectangle from light green card measuring 5 cm in height by at least 14 cm in width.
- Cut a rectangle from dark green card measuring 3 cm in height by at least 14 cm in width
- Use the grassy hill border dies to cut the top of the two green rectangles
- Cut 3 stems and leaves from the Reveal Wheel Tulip add on die set from the dark green card
(I've photographed it on white card so you can see the leaves easier) - Stamp 3 smiley faces onto yellow card, spaced out enough so they can be cut out with the flower from the Reveal Wheel Circle add on Flower and Sun die set
- Cut 3 more flowers from white card
- Stamp the greeting onto yellow card and cut into a banner shape
- Glue the light green grassy rectangle, then the dark green grassy rectangle to the bottom of the sky blue patterned card, so the bottom edges line up. If any of the grassy strips over hang the sky rectangle, cut them off
- Glue the sky rectangle with grassy hills centrally to the base card
- Glue the flower stems to the base card so they are equally spaced across the card
- Attach the greeting banner to the top right hand side of the card using double sided foam pads
- Use double sided foam pads to attach the white petal flowers to the base card , one on each stem. I glued my flowers at 3 different heights. The middle one was the tallest, the one on the right the shortest and the left one middle height. So therefore I didn't glue them to the very top of the stems, but just make sure any stem doesn't show above the top of the white petals
- Attach the smiley flower centres to the centre of each white petal using double sided foam pads
- Stick one set of leaves to each stem using double sided foam pads
It's such a cheery card!
