Use Stampin Up's 'Piece of Cake' stamp set to make this birthday greeting card
This is a fairly simple card to make and although I've made mine into a birthday card, there are other cake designs to use from the stamp set that it could be adapted for other occaisions such as a wedding card.
Follow the below link to find out how the card was made
You will need
- 2 designs of corresponding paper - I've used a stripe and a spot paper in the same colourway
- White A5 base card
- White card
- Stampin Up's Piece of Cake stamp set
- Black ink pad
- Stamping aid (I use the Stamparatus by Stampin up - this is optional but can help with placing of the greeting stamp)
- Colouring medium of your choice (I use Promarker pens)
- Fancy edged rectangular die measuring 5 . 5 cm by 4 cm
- Glue and double sided foam pads
- Guillotine
- Cut a piece of spot blue paper to 14 cm by 9 . 5 cm
- Cut a piece of stripe paper to 9 . 5 cm by 5 cm
- Glue the spot blue paper to the base card and then glue the stripe paper ontop towards the bottom edge
- Stamp 'Happy Birthday' onto the right lower edge of the stripe paper using black ink
- Stamp a cake onto white card using black ink
- Colour in the cake using the promarker pens
- Die cut the cake out using the fancy edged rectangular die. (you can always cut the cake out using a guillotine or scissors if you do not have a fancy edge rectangluar die)
- Attach the cake rectangle to the card front to the left of the greeting using double sided foam pads
This is your finished card. I have made it in two different colourways - it's amazing how different they look just because of the colour.
