Use Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Box Card Pop-up Die to create this box of flowers
Create this box of flowers for decoration around the home or it folds flat so you can post it as a greeting card.
Use any flower dies you have and any coloured card to create a unique gift or greeting card for your recipient.
This would make a lovely new home gift or card and also a thank you note.
I have made one of these type of cards in my blog before - using cat stamps. If you missed it you can click here to open the blog page. When you get the hang of gluing the box pieces together - you can decorate it however you wish.
You will need
This is your finished card, gift or home decoration piece.
It can still be folded flat for postage - just push the box slightly to one side and it will flatten.
- Scalloped Box Card Pop-up Die by Lawn Fawn
- Reveal wheel circle add on flower and sun die set by Lawn Fawn
- Reveal wheel circle add on tulip die set by Lawn Fawn
- 2 . 5 cm circle die
- Purple patterned paper (I used a sheet from Frosted floral speciality Design series Paper by Stampin up)
- Purple, white, yellow, pink, light green and dark green card
- Happy Birthday white peel off
- Glue and strong double sided tape
- Die cutting machine
- From the purple card cut 2 scalloped box pieces from the die set and one internal divide piece
- Cut 2 lots of the internal rectangles from the die set in purple patterned paper
- Glue the 2 sets of lower rectangles to scalloped box pieces (Be careful as the lower and upper rectangles are slightly different sizes - the upper ones are slightly shorter)
- Fold the top parts of the scalloped box pieces down and glue the remaining patterend rectangles to them
- Fold along all crease lines of the box and internal divider pieces
- Put strong double sided tape on all tabs (Unofrtunately my double sided tape is red so it is difficult to see on the below photo's - but the box pieces both have 1 tab on the right hand edge and the internal divide piece has two tabs, one at each end)
- Join the two box pieces together at one tab (the photo below is the view of the inside of the box once they have been joined at the centre)
- Stick one side of the internal divider piece centrally to one of the box insides as in the below photo:
- Lay the internal divider piece flat to the right and then fold half of the box over it. This will ensure the internal divider tab sticks to the right location within the box.
- Stick the remaining edge of the box together forming a cube
- Your box is now ready to decorate. Using the reveal wheel flower parts, cut 3 daisy heads from white card, 2 tulip heads from pink card, 2 stems and 3 leaves from light green card, 3 stems and 2 leaves from dark green card. Using the 2 . 5 cm circle die cut 3 from yellow card (Please note in the photo, I cut 3 tulip flowers but later didn't use one of them)
- Glue the flowers together as follows (I alternated the light green and dark green stems with the oposite green leaves but it's entirley up to you):
(You only need 2 tulip flowers - not the 3 I have in the photo) - Glue the 3 daisy like flowers to the back of the internal divide piece
- Glue the 2 tulip flowers to the inside of the front of the box so you can see the daisy flowers through them
- Die cut from purple card the two sticks and bunting string from the scalloped box die set. Using the largest bunting flag, cut one from yellow, green and pink cards and 2 from white card. Die cut 2 pink hearts. Fold the bunting flags in half and glue them over the bunting string piece. Glue the two pink hearts tot he white bunting flags
- Glue the two sticks either side of the back piece of the scalloped box and then glue the bunting string and flags between them
- Put your greeting peel off on the front of the box
