Use the Rose Garden decorative edging die by Crafter Companion to make this really pretty card
Yay! My local craft fair was back this week following the covid lockdowns. It was so nice to go to it again. It's not a big fair but there's normally a good selection of stalls and you get to meet and talk to some lovely people. I bought a couple of really decorative edging dies by Crafters Companion and this weeks card is made using one of them.
It's a fairly basic card but doesn't it look so decorative just because of the rose edging?
Follow the below link to find out how the card was made
You will need
- Red and white card
- Rose Garden edging die by Crafters Companion
- Decorative red patterned paper (I used a piece of rose patterned paper from the 'All my Love' DSP by Stampin Up)
- White Happy Birthday peel off
- Glue and double sided foam pads
- Guillotine with cutting and scoring blades
- Die cutting machine
- Cut a piece of red card to 25 cm by 15 . 5 cm. Score and fold in half to make the base card
- Cut a piece of white card to 15.5 cm tall by 12 . 5 cm wide
- Draw a feint pencil line 1 cm from the right hand edge of the card. Line the Rose Garden die against this line as per the below photo and run through your die
cutting machine. Poke out all the cut pieces if they haven't already fallen out (I use a cocktail stick to do this)
- Glue the white rectangle to the base card so the left edges align
- Cut a piece of red card to 14 . 5 cm tall by 6 . 5 cm. Glue this centrally to the white rectangular section on the base card
- Cut a piece of red patterned card/paper to 13 . 5 cm tall by 5 . 5 cm wide. Glue this ontop of the red rectangle from step 5
- Cut a small piece of red card to 4 . 5 cm by 2 . 5 cm (Or however big you need to hold your peel off greeting). Stick your greeting to this red rectangle.
- Using double sided foam pads, stick the greeting rectangle to the lover part of the patterned paper but so the right edges are aligned
