Decorate a large Happy Birthday with the recipients' favourite items
This card is so easy to adjust to your recipients' favourite things - whether it be flowers, animals or monsters. Just stamp and colour in the large Happy Birthday then add the flowers or animals to decorate. In my case I needed a birthday card for my friend who is cat crazy.
If you don't like colouring in, then stamp the Happy Birthday onto patterned paper and cut around it
If you do not have a large Happy Birthday stamp, then why not use one printed from your computer.
Follow the below link to find out how the card was made
You will need
- Large 'Happy Birthday' stamp (I used one by Woodware)
- Black ink pad
- 'Meow you Doin?' stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn
- 'Keep on Swimming' stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn
- White card
- Patterned orange card
- Colouring medium of your choice (I used Promarker pens)
- Glue and double sided foam pads
- Die cutting machine
- Guillotine with cutting and scoring blades
- Stamp the Happy Birthday using black ink onto white card
- Colour in the letters. Use a very light grey to colour in around the outside of the letters - this helps the letters not look quite so stark on white card
- Trim this card down to 14 . 5 cm by 9 cm
- Cut another piece of white card to 25 cm by 17 cm. Fold in half to create a tent fold base card.
- Cut a piece of patterned orange card to 16 cm by 11 . 5 cm and glue centrally to the front of the base card
- Glue the Happy Birthday rectangle ontop of the patterned orange card
- Stamp 5 cats onto white card. Colour in and die cut out
- Use double sided foam pads to add them to the lettering on the base card
