Make your gift tags as pretty as your greeting cards - this one using Lawn Fawns Christmas Dreams stamp and die sets
I buy fairly basic wrapping paper for my Christmas gifts and then make pretty tags to match the paper. This time, I thought I'd use a stamp set and make a tag similar to making a greeting card.
I've got friends and family who have dogs, so this tag would be ideal for them :) . The stamp set comes with a cat too for those who prefer cats.
Follow the below link to find out how the card was made
You will need
- Christmas Dreams stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn
- Rectangle die measuring 10 . 5 cm wide by 7 cm high
- VersaMark ink pad
- Black ink pad
- White and craft card
- Colouring media of your choice (I used Promarker pens - caramel, chestnut, walnut, terracotta, spice, blush, tea green, warm grey 1, cool grey 4, pine, berry red, tulip yellow and buttercup)
- White embossing powder (I used Opaque Bright White Super Fine by WOW!)
- Die cutting machine
- Hole punch (I used Crop-A-Dile II)
- 20 cm of thin white ribbon
- Glue and double sided foam pads
- Using black ink onto white card, stamp the fireplace, dog, rug, candle, bow, stocking, dream bubble and bone (I stamped the cookies on a plate but decided not to use them in the end). Colour in the stamped images and die cut them out.
- Using versamark ink pad, stamp the Merry Christmas greeting onto some craft card. Cover in embossing powder, knock off the excess and heat until the powder melts and the greeting goes shiny.
- Use the rectangle die to cut a rectangle from craft card and so the greeting is top right of the rectangle
- Glue the fireplace to the bottom left of the tag and then glue the rug to the bottom right side.
- Use double sided foam pads to attach the remaining die cut images to the tag
- Punch a hole for the ribbon to the top left of the tag
- Thread the ribbon through the tag
