Dandy Day

Use Lawn Fawn's Dandy Day stamp and die sets to make this 'sending wishes' greeting card

These mice are so cute - I couldn't resist making another greeting card with them. This time, I have continued using the stamps on the inside of the card too.

Add decoration from the stamp set to the inside of the card

I'll probably use it for a birthday card but the words are also suited to many other celebrations.

If you missed my previous cards made with this stamp set, click here for a birthday card and here for a mothers day card. It's great when you can find several uses for a stamp set :)

Follow the below link to find out how the card was made

You will need
  • A6 white base card
  • White and green card
  • Lawn Fawn's Dandy Day stamp and die set
  • Black ink pad
  • Blue or sky patterned card (I used a sheet from Lovely Mystery design pad by Craft Sensations)
  • Rectangle die measuring about 8 cm by 11 . 5 cm (or just cut a rectangle using a guillotine)
  • Square die measuring about 5 . 5 cm
  • Grass die (I used grassy hillside border die by Lawn Fawn)
  • Colouring medium of your choice (I used promarker pens - sandstone, wheat, herb green and pale pink)
  • Guillotine
  • Glue, double sided tape and double sided foam pads
  • Die cutting machine

  1. Cut a piece of blue sky patterned paper/card to 9 cm wide by 13 . 5 cm tall and glue centrally to the front of the base card
Glue a piece of blue or sky patterned card to the front of base card

  2. Using the rectangle and square dies cut a frame from white card - put the square within the rectangle but more towadrs the top of the rectangle
Create a frame of white card by using a rectangle and square die

  3. Stamp 'sending wishes' with black ink to the lower part of the frame cut out in step 2
Stamp 'Sending Wishes' on the frame

  4. Put double sided foam pads on the back of the frame and stick it centrally ontop of the pattern paper on the base card. (You may find it easier to do the next step and stick the grass to the back of the frame before attaching it to the base card)
Use double sided foam pads to add frame to card

  5. Cut some grass using your grassy die and stick it to the bottom of the square window in the frame
Add some grass behind the square window

  6. Stamp, colour and die cut two mice, the blown dandylion and some dandylion strands
Stamp mice and dandylion from Lawn Fawns Dandy Day stamp set

Colour and die cut the mice and dandylions

  7. Glue the dandylion to the blowing mouse's hand
Glue the dandylion to the mouse's hand

  8. Using double sided foam pads attach the characters and dandylion pieces to the square window. You may have to cut your foam pads down a little so they can fit behind the tiny dandylion pieces
Use double sided foam pads to add mice and dandylions to the square window

  9. On the inside, right, of the card, stamp 'For a very Happy day'
Stamp 'For a very Happy day' on the inside of the card

  10. Cut another piece of blue sky patterned card measuring 9 cm by 13 . 5 cm and glue to the inside left of the card

  11. Stamp, colour and die cut the mouse riding on a dandylion. Glue him to the patterned card on the inside of the card
Glue a rectangle of blue patterned paper to inside of card

There is your finished card:
