Use Lawn Fawns Stitched Teacup die set and some beautiful decorative papers to make this pretty greeting card
I'm using a teacup die again to make this weeks card but this time teaming it up with a decorative paper pack which makes colour and pattern matching so much easier.
It's a very decorative card but thats all down to the patterned paper rather than adding lots of toppers and layers. You can use the same layout theme but change the image in the circle to something that your recipient would really appreciate.
Ive made this into a birthday card but it would be lovely as an invite or to say thank you.
Follow the below link to find out how the card was made
You will need
- Stitched Teacup die set by Lawn Fawn
- Tea Boutique 6"x6" Designer Series Paper by Stampin Up
- 7 cm decorative edge circle die
- 5 x 7 white scalloped base card
- Guillotine
- White, brown and silver card
- Silver Happy Birthday peel off
- Glue and double sided foam pads
- Trim the base card at about 9 . 5 cm from the folded edge - I made sure I cut through the dips of the scalloped edge rather than cutting part way through a curve - just leaves a neat edge
- Cut a piece of teapot paper from the patterned paper pack leaving the width as 6" but cutting the length to 9 . 5 cm or whatever your base card was cut to in step 1
- Glue the patterned paper to your base card
- Cut a decorative edged circle from white card. Also cut a teacup, saucer and 2 flowers from other decorative paper from the pack. Then cut a spoon from silver card and the tea insert from brown card
- Glue the brown tea insert behind the cup opening
- Glue the cup to the saucer and then glue it to the white circle. Glue the spoon and flowers to the cup aswell
- Cut a piece of decorative paper to 8cm by 1 . 5 cm and attach your birthday peel off to it (You may need to change the length or height of this strip of paper depending on your peel off size)
- Glue the very left edge of the greeting strip to the right hand side of the circle
- Put double sided foam pads to the back of the circle and greeting. Ensure you do not put the pads too close to the top of the circle as this will stick above the top of your base card
- Place the circle and greeting onto your base card so it overhangs the very top of the card by a small bit
