Make this lovely Mother's day card using Lawn Fawns Reveal Wheel and Tulip add on die sets
This makes such a lovely , cute and interactive Mother's day card. Just turn the wheel and the little flower's face changes!
It can easily be changed for another occasion just by changing the greeting stamped at the top
Follow the below link to find out how the card was made
You will need
- White A6 card base
- Dark and light green card
- Sky patterned card
- Purple patterned card
- Lilac and purple card
- White card
- Reveal Wheel die set by Lawn Fawn
- Reveal Wheel Tulip Add-On die set by Lawn Fawn
- Grassy Hillside Borders die set by Lawn Fawn
- Mini split pin/brad
- Purple ink pad (I used Perfect Plum by Stampin Up)
- Happy Mother's Day greeting stamp (I used one from 'Circle of Spring' stamp set by Stampin Up)
- Smiley face stamps (I used stamps from 'Thanks a Latte' stamp set by Lawn Fawn)
- Reveal Wheel Sentiments stamp set by Lawn Fawn
- Glue, double sided tape and double sided foam pads
- Die cutting machine
- Stamping aid (I use Stamparatus by Stampin Up)
- Cut a piece of sky patterned card to 10 . 5 cm wide by 15 cm high
- Cut a piece of light green card to 7 cm high by 10 .5 cm wide
- Cut a piece of dark green card to 4 cm high by 10 . 5 cm wide
- Use the grassy border dies to cut the top of each of the green rectangles just cut out in steps 2 and 3
- Glue the light green grassy hill followed by the dark green grassy hill to the sky patterned card so their bottom edges meet.
- Attach the Tulip reveal wheel add on die to the reveal wheel base card die - I tape them together with a bit of washi tape to just hold it in place
- Die cut the sky patterned and grassy hill rectangle with the reveal wheel base card die from step 6
- Remove the tulip add on and then cut another reveal wheel base card from white card
- Using the purple ink pad, stamp the greeting onto the top right hand corner of the sky patterned card
- Die cut 3 flower stems and sets of leaves from dark green card. Die cut 2 tulips one from lilac card and one from purple card. Die cut the tulip outline from purple card
- Glue the tulip outline around the tulip window in the reveal wheel base card
- Cut 1 cm from the base of one of the stems and 2 cm from another. Leave the third one full height. Glue these to the grassy hills so the full height one is in the middle, the shortest on the right and the other on the left
- Glue the tulip die cuts to the left and right hand flower stems
- Die cut the large and small reveal wheels from the purple patterned card
- Put the brad through the back of the small cirlce and then through the back of the larger circle. Open out the brad legs. If the legs are quite long, then trim some of the length off with some pliers
- Put double sided foam pads on the back of the small circle - ensure they stay away from the brad
- Stick the circles to the white reveal wheel base card
- Put double sided foam pads all over the white reveal wheel base card ensuring none of them will stop the card wheels from turning
- Stick the sky patterned reveal wheel base card ontop of the white reveal wheel base card so all edges align
- Put this base card into the stamping aid. Line a face stamp against the middle flower and stamp using the purple ink pad
- Turn the reveal wheel so 9 scallops pass and then stamp a different face
- Repeat step 21 to stamp one more different face
- Glue the reveal wheel base card to the A6 white base card
- Stamp 'turn me' from the reveal wheel sentiments stamp set to the edge of the card where the reveal wheel edge shows
Now you can turn the reveal wheel to show 3 different cute flower faces
