Use a Lili of the Valley downloaded digital image to make this circular anniversary card
I went to a craft fair this week and bought myself some stitched circle nesting dies. I needed to make an anniversary card so decided to use the circle dies to create frames for one central image. This is the card I came up with:
I've made some cards using Lili of the Valley digital downloads before and if you don't like colouring, you can purchase one of their full coloured images. This really makes it an easy card and after you have paid for the image and downloaded it, you can save it to your computer and use it many times.
I like digital images because it means I do not have to store paper decoupage sheets amongst my crafting supplies and can just print them as and when I need them - less storage and less creasing! Quite often you get several sizes or you can alter the size to make it suit what you need.
You can do the same frame idea with square, rectangle or heart nesting dies, just make sure the smaller one is used on the first layer that is glued to the image and the larger one on the second layer - just follow the steps below.
Some of my previous cards made using LOTV (Lili of the Valley) downloaded digital stamps can be found by clicking on these links - Fathers day easel card, Watch the Birdie card and Animal birthday cupcake card.

I used a small image on a small card so could only get a couple of frames (one light pink and one dark pink) within the card size. However if you have a bigger base card, you could make more frames - Just make each square half an inch bigger than the last. To cut the circular apertures, just keep using the next die up in the nesting die range that you have.

You will need
- Woof you image (click here to purchase and download)
- 3 . 5 and 3 inch circle dies (two from a set by Presscut: nesting dies - stitch dot circles)
- Light and dark pink card
- 5 inch square white base card
- Pink heart button (you can use a heart sequin or die cut if you do not have a button)
- Happy Anniversary peel off greeting
- Die cutting machine
- Guillotine
- Glue
- Print page 3 of the download where you get 8 images on one sheet. Cut a square of about 4 inches around one of the images
- Cut a 4 inch square from light pink card and a 4 . 5 inch square from dark pink card
Note - My light pink card had a small nibble out of one of the edges.
This doesn't matter as it will be covered by the dark pink frame - Cut a 3 inch circle from the centre of the light pink card and a 3 . 5 inch circle from the centre of the dark pink square
- Put glue on the back of the light pink square and stick over the image so it shows centrally through the circular aperture
If your image extends beyond the pink frame, just a little, like mine does - this
won't matter as it will be covered by the dark pink frame in the next step - Put glue on the back of the dark pink square and stick over the light pink square so the image shows centrally in the aperture
- Glue the pink squares with the image to the centre of the 5 inch square white base card
- Put the Happy Anniversary peel off in the bottom right hand corner of the base card
- Glue the button beneath the dog in the central image
