Use Lawn Fawns Magic Color Slider Die and Critter Consert stamp and die set to create this fab interactive birthday card
I just love interactive cards and this one has been created using Lawn Fawns Magic Color Slider die set. Lawn Fawn makes it so easy to create a fab looking card. Your black and white image suddenly colours itself in when you pull the slider out :)
I have teamed the magic color slider die with Lawn Fawns Critter Concert stamp and die set to make this card but you can use any image as long as it fits within one of the window dies that comes with the set

I have teamed the magic color slider die with Lawn Fawns Critter Concert stamp and die set to make this card but you can use any image as long as it fits within one of the window dies that comes with the set
Follow the below link to find out how the card was made
You will need
- Magic Color Slider die by Lawn Fawn
- Critter Concert stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn
- Push Here stamp set by Lawn Fawn
- Black ink pad
- Black Stazon ink pad
- Sheet of acetate
- Colouring medium of your choice (I used Promarker pens - caramel, sandstone, pear green, herb garden, tulip yellow, pumpkin, tea green, pale pink and cool grey 3)
- A6 white base card
- Blue patterned paper/card (I used a sheet of blue from Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper pack by Lawn Fawn)
- Navy and white card
- Stamping aid (I use Stamparatus by Stampin Up)
- Die cutting machine
- Thin double sided tape and double sided foam pads
- Washi tape (doesn't matter on size or colour as it is used to temporarily hold down layers)
- From navy card, die cut the pocket (longest rectangle that has a slot in the centre) and 2 lots of track pieces (squared u-shaped) from the magic color slider die set
- Use the rectangle window die from the magic color slider die set to cut a window centrally in the front half of the pocket
- Use the rectangle die from the magic slider die set to cut a piece from white card and one from acetate
- Using thin double sided tape, stick one of the track pieces around the inside back half of the pocket piece. Be careful to make sure the track piece does not warp and follows the outside line of the pocket piece.
- Glue the white rectangle in-between the track piece
- Put the pocket piece in your stamping aid, fold the front over and align your stamps within the window. Pick up the stamps with the tab of the stamping aid, open up the pocket and stamp the images using the black Stazon ink pad onto the white rectangle. (Don't remove the stamps from the stamping aid)
- Lay the acetate over the white rectangle and hold down with the magnets. Remove the musical notes stamp from the stamping aid then stamp the remaining images again using the Stazon ink pad. (The stamps can now be removed and cleaned)
- Colour in the image that has been stamped onto the white rectangle
- Use the thin double sided tape to stick the second track piece over the first one
- Put some thin double sided tape around the inside of the window (keep it close to the window edge). Lay the acetate over the coloured in image and once it is lined up, so the black outlines match, hold it down with some washi tape. Fold the front pocket over the back of the pocket and the acetate will then be stuck to the window (remove the washi tape).
Lay acetate over coloured image - this shows it not lined up It's lined up when the image looks like one - hold it down with washi tape - Cut a slider piece from white card
- Use a black ink pad to stamp 'Pull Here' onto the tab of the slider piece
- Feed the slider piece, tab end first, through the slot in the centre of the pocket piece
- Put some thin double sided tape on the track piece, ensure the legs of the slider piece remain within the track piece and then close the front of the pocket over the back of the pocket to encase the slider piece
- You can now pull the slider piece outwards and the black and white image magically colours itself!
- Cover the front of an A6 base card with a piece of blue patterned paper
- Put the card base into your stamping aid and line up the greetings from the Critter Concert stamp set - 'Just a little note to say...' at the top of the card and 'Hope you have an awesome day!' at the bottom of the card. Stamp them using black ink
- Using double sided foam pads attach the pocket to the base card front just above the lower greeting
- Stamp, colour and die cut the music stand and sheet music from the Critter Concert stamp and die set
- Glue the music stand to the front of the base card just below the top greeting towards the right
- Use double sided foam pads to attach the sheet music to the music stand
- Use the individual music notes from the Concert Critter stamp set to stamp black music notes on the front of the base card between the top greeting and the pocket
That's your fab magic colour slider greeting card completed
