Birthday card made with a trio of small circular cat images
Lili of the Valley sell digi stamps through Etsy and this is a great way of getting images for your cards. They sell coloured or black and white images that you can colour yourself. So for this card, I've used a trio of cats image that prints just black outlines and I can then colour to match or coordinate with backing papers. Once downloaded you can keep on your computer and print whenever required. I have made a card previously with one of their pre-coloured images - if you'd like to see it click here)
Follow the below link to find out how the card was made
You will need
- White A6 card base
- Lili of the valley digi stamp AS Kitten present trio (can be downloaded here for a small cost)
- Pink decorative paper (I used a piece from Tea Boutique designer series paper by Stampin Up)
- 5cm circle die
- Borders to Background stamp set by Stampin Up
- Sweet Ice Cream stamp set by Stampin Up
- Blue ink pad (I used Versacrafts pale aqua)
- Colouring medium of your choice (I used Promarker pens - Cool grey 2 and 5, henna, cocoa, tea green, pale pink, lavendar, dusky pink, denim blue)
- Glue and double sided foam pad
- Die cutting machine
- Download, print, colour in and then use the 5 cm circle die to cut out the three cat images
- Cut a piece of pink patterned paper to the width of the A6 base card (when it's in tent fold position) by 6 cm and another piece only 1cm deep
- Glue the 6cm piece to the top of the card and the 1 cm piece to the bottom of the card - this leaves a little strip of white base card showing through between the two patterned strips
- Stamp Happy Birthday (from the sweet ice cream stamp set) using the blue ink pad to the white stripe on the front of the card
- Glue two of the cat circles to the front of the base card - one to the left side and one to the right
- Add the third cat circle using double sided foam pads to the front of the base card, between the other two
- Use one of the decorative border stamps with the blue ink pad to decorate either side of the Happy Birthday stamp
